Commission Your Custom Pet Portrait
See below for a step-by-step guide on how to commission a pet portrait of your own. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch with me.
Step 1: Let's Chat!
Begin by reaching out to me via email, tell me all about your beloved pet or horse - their name, breed, and what makes them special to you.
Share any specific details or preferences you have in mind for their portrait, and don't forget to mention the desired size of the artwork. I'm here to listen and bring your vision to life.
Please note, I usually have a waitlist and will advise you of the expected time frame.

Step 2: Picture Perfect
Once we've connected, it's time to gather reference photos. Clear, high-quality images are essential for capturing every detail of your pet.
I'll work closely with you to select the perfect photo that truly showcases their personality and charm. The more photos the better! Even though the portrait is only based on one photo, it's very handy for me to have multiple references showing details, fur colour etc. If you need some guidance on capturing the ideal shot you can check out my top tips here.
If your pet has sadly passed, try to gather as many photos as you can, we can work together to select the photo that would work best to create a memorial keepsake for you.

Step 3: Let's Plan
With the perfect photo in hand, we'll move on to planning your portrait. Using the chosen reference photo and size specifications, I'll create a mock-up of the artwork for your approval. This sneak peek allows you to visualise the final product and make any adjustments before we begin. At this stage a 30% non-refundable deposit is required before drawing commences.
I will keep you updated with timeframes and let you know when I'm about to begin your drawing.

Step 4: Bring on the Art
Now the real magic begins! I'll dive into bringing your pet's portrait to life, keeping you informed of progress every step of the way. You'll receive regular updates and sneak peeks to ensure the artwork meets your expectations.
Once complete, I'll send you a preview of the finished portrait for your final approval.

Step 5: Portrait Perfect
With your stamp of approval, it's time to wrap up the commission process. The final payment is due, and I'll carefully and beautifully package your portrait for shipment. Rest assured, your artwork will be sent insured with tracking included to ensure it arrives safely to its new home.
Your artwork will arrive with a signed Certificate of Authenticity and care instructions. Get ready to display your pet's portrait proudly and cherish it for years to come!
